HSBuddy can dim the screen after a period of inactivity. You can set a schedule for when this feature is active. This can be useful for devices that are always unlocked, such as a wall-mounted tablet. For example, if you want to reduce the amount of light introduced into the room by the tablet at night.
After installing the latest version of the HSBuddy application on your mobile device, go to the Options section and select Screen Dimmer. From this screen, you can enable or disable this feature.
You can set the amount of time after the application has been inactive before turning on the screen dimmer. Choose a value between 1 and 90 minutes.
Choose by how much to dim the screen when the dimmer is activated. This is a number between 25 and 100%, where 100% would cause the screen to be completely dark.
When enabled, a watermark with the HSBuddy logo will be displayed in the lower-right corner of the screen when the dimmer is activated. When you set the screen to dim by 100% this can help you know at a glance that HSBuddy is still running.
You can specify a time range during the day when this feature is active. Outside of this schedule, the screen dimmer will not be activated even after the application has been inactive by the amount of time specified further above.
